Dear Animist,
You don't agree with me that the human brain has a ROM? Then please explain why Christian families produce only Christians but never any muslim children? Why do Muslim families produce only Muslim children but never a Christian? do you really believe it is transmitted through the genes? When Stalin established his religion "Stalinism" he actually did proclaim that after a couple of generations Stalinism would get into the genes and future generations would be BORN "Stalinists"!!! (seeing how Russia is going, maybe he was right!)

What do you mean by a Christian child or a Muslim child?

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

Dear animist,
When I said that all humans have an ROM I didn't mean that all his memory is in the ROM. The things stored in his ROM is mainly the indoctrinations in the formative years, less than about 10 years old. Things like religion, language, culture, family, etc. are often hard-wired into this ROM. If you disagree with my ROM hypothesis then try to explain why children born into a Muslim family are 100% Muslims? Did you ever hear of a Muslim family spawning Christian children? Did you ever hear of a Christian family spawning Muslim children? I didn't "beg the question', so don't you "beg the answer"!

Dear animist,
When I said that Muslim families only spawn Muslims, and Christian families only spawn Christians, I didn't mean 100%. I estimate that at least 98% conform to this rule. If you have statistics to prove me wrong then please reveal them here.

You made the question-begging assertions, so it is up to you to justify them with evidence, not for anyone else to provide evidence to refute them. Until then, Hitchens's Razor applies:

I'm afraid you did: you did so by not establishing the validity of your premise: "Christian families produce only Christians, Muslim families produce only Muslims, etc. etc."

VINDICATOR wrote:When I said that Muslim families only spawn Muslims, and Christian families only spawn Christians, I didn't mean 100%.
You have piqued my curiosity! :D So what exactly did you mean by "100%" here:
explain why children born into a Muslim family are 100% Muslims?
?

Dear Tetenterre,
I know at least a 100 Christian families and not a single one of these families has raised a single Muslim offspring. Since I don't know all the Christian families that there are, I would not extrapolate that to 100%. That is proof enough for me that they have been indoctrinated (brain washed). How many Christian families do you know? How many of these families have children that are Muslims? Don't tell me, I don't want to know, just think it over yourself!

No idea. A few hundred perhaps.

How many of these families have children that are Muslims?
As far as I know, only two (one is an ex-girlfriend). Others spawned Buddhists, Hindus, Jains, Bahá'ís (quite a fascination with Asian religions, my generation) - but most of the children of Christian parents who I know to have changed became agnostics or atheists. Oh, and Pastafarians  .

Don't tell me, I don't want to know,
Oops, too late. :laughter:

Tetenterre,
If what you say is true, then we can expect Christianity to die out in a few generations. This makes me very sad. Although I am non-religious, still I believe that Christianity is necessary. Modern Christianity is the best religion we have today. If Christianity disappears then Islam will fill the vacuum. Then the modern civilization we see today will disappear and we will be dragged back to the stone age!
