In/Appropriate name-anagrams

#1 Postby thundril » August 13th, 2008, 8:52 pm

I think it was Stephen Fry who first notice that Virginia Bottomley is an anagram of
'I'm an evil tory bigot'.
My own name (jax agnesson) comes out as
'so sex n ganja'.
Anyone else?

A great time waster is the internet anagram server at http://wordsmith.org/anagram/
If you try it, its helpful to use the advanced feature to filter your results. Lots of meaningless results but a few gems can often be found.

See if you can guess these anagrams:

1. Cardinal Shrew (author)

2. Enrich Scalper (royalty)

3. Bugger Shoe (former US official)

4. Swami Wall Iron (clergy)

5. Stoney Logic (cult)

6. Uremic Sot (actor)

Just played around with the anagram web site with the names of a few folk my son and I know. The best we got so far is

Carnal Hood Mint

What a smashing name!

Four of them leaped out at me:

Charles Darwin
Prince Charles
George Bush
?
Scientology
?

I can't bothered to work out the other two. Is the clergyman's name William?

I really want that prize.

Well, Maria wins the grand prize, but she will have to share some of the notoriety with Emma. :D

Well done, you two!
